Vitra Toolbox

Sometimes the simplest ideas carry the most weight. Vitra's Toolbox, designed by Arik Levy in 2010, looks like nothing more than an open utilitarian tray — the kind of object we're used to seeing mass-produced and forgotten. But look again: as work becomes more mobile, the old pedestal storage no longer fits how we actually move through a day. The Toolbox does. Use it to organise a desktop, or pair it with locker systems to carry your essentials from desk to meeting to locker, and back again.
