Long before the Air Max 90, there was the Air Max III. The name was purely functional: it was Nike's third flagship runner to showcase visible Air. Yet there was nothing ordinary about the shoe itself. Nicknamed "the shoe that looked fast" upon release, its textural layers helped define the look of performance footwear for the decade ahead. This edition looks back to those beginnings, reviving the original Air Max III name and dressing one of Tinker Hatfield's most influential designs in understated, easy-wearing tones.
