New Balance 574 Sneaker

The running shoe that became an icon: New Balance's 574 sneaker. A hybrid shoe, its upper came from the 576, with a sole using elements from the 577. Recognised worldwide, it's moved beyond tracks—worn as much for its look as its build. Part of NB's 500 series (the label's move into a new breed of active-luxury), it's made from leather, suede, and mesh. The 574 introduced "Encap" to the midsole: a soft EVA core for stability, seated under the heel. The tech still underpins NB's 574 today—exactly why it's stayed a fixture from day one.
