The Max started life as the Miguel, an ultra-traditional golf shoe. Its current form, however, belongs firmly to Jacques Solovière. Designed in Paris and brought to life in family-run Portuguese workshops, it stands out with its clash of grained and smooth leathers as well as the kilt fringe that calls back to its roots on the fairway. If founder Alexia Aubert’s main mission is to create the new classics of the footwear world, the Max derby is a shining example that the Parisian label is doing everything right.
