Artek Alvar Aalto 1933 Stool 60

Artek’s Alvar Aalto 1933 Stool 60 is one of those rare designs that’s never slipped out of production, staying relevant since its debut in 1933 — two years before Artek itself was officially founded. The solid birch build and three‑legged L‑shaped structure show Aalto’s early mastery of bentwood, a technique that went on to define the brand’s identity. Its clean, stackable form has allowed it to move effortlessly through homes, studios and public spaces for nearly a century, adapting to new colours and finishes without losing its character.
